Berean Bible Church switches to video format

The Haxtun Berean Bible Church has begun a new and innovative model for their Sunday morning church service. Instead of hiring a full-time pastor, HBBC has partnered with New Hope Church in Ogallala, Neb.

“This is a model that many rural churches are exploring,” said Rick Lockwood, an elder at HBBC. “It just isn’t economically feasible for some smaller churches such as ours to have a full-time pastor.”

Today’s technology makes it possible; New Hope Church in Ogallala provides the preaching via video. And if a pastor is needed for weddings, funerals or leadership guidance at HBBC, New Hope provides a pastor to perform these traditional church duties. HBBC continues to provide a worship service as well as programs for youth, Bible studies and fellowship programs.

The HBBC meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. The community is welcome to attend and check out this new approach to church.
