Harold Hinde

Harold (Jim) Hinde passed away at his home on Feb. 24, 2020 in Brush at the age of 92.

Jim was born on March 6, 1927 in Haxtun to the late Harold and Katherine Hinde. He attended schools in Dailey. As a WWII veteran, he served two years in the Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne.

After 26 and a half years in the service on July 1, 1973, Jim retired as a SMSgt. Shortly after, they moved to Colorado Springs. They spent the next 35 years traveling all over the U.S., including Alaska, Canada and Mexico with their friends and the Winnebago International Travelers Club.

For health reasons, in March 2019 the couple moved to assisted living in Brush. In October 2019, they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his wife Dottie Hinde; sons Lon and Brian Hinde; daughters Vicki Kallman and Brenda Oakley; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Dick) Hinde, Haxtun.

Following Jim's wishes, there will not be a funeral.  A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled later for this summer.
