HPD asks for public's help in locating auto theft suspect

SECURITY FOOTAGE at Eagle Travel Stop in Sterling revealed these two photos of a suspected wanted for a crime committed in Haxtun.

On Feb. 22, the Haxtun Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. A 2008 grey Expedition with temporary tags was reported stolen from a residence in Haxtun. It was last seen around 11 p.m. on Feb. 21 and was reported stolen at 9:43 a.m. on Feb. 22.

Credit and debit cards belonging to the owners of the vehicle were inside of the vehicle at the time it was stolen. The suspect used the cards at the Eagle Travel Stop in Sterling at approximately 7 a.m. on Feb. 22. The vehicle was recovered later that afternoon in Lindon, near Last Chance.
