Haxtun athletes earn All-Conference honors

Two Haxtun athletes received All-Conference honors at the conclusion of the 2019-20 basketball season. Bulldogs Brooklyn Davis and Ryan Tempel each received the post-season honor for their respective parts on the boys' and girls' basketball teams this season. Both teams ended their run at Regionals, falling just shy of a State Tournament appearance.

According to stats on MaxPreps, Davis put up 203 points and pulled down 137 rebounds in her final season as a Lady Bulldog. She also netted 67 steals and 62 assists while serving as a captain for her team. Davis averaged 8.8 points, six rebounds and 2.9 steals per game this season.

Total, in her four years on the court for the Bulldogs, Davis tallied 564 points and grabbed a total of 398 rebounds under the net.

The Lady Bulldogs earned an overall 9-14 record before falling to Merino at the Regional Tournament on March 6.

Tempel is a junior on the boys' basketball team and served as a captain to the 17-member squad. He often led the Bulldogs in points and rebounds on their journey to the Regional Tournament. The Bulldogs fell just shy of state tournament appearance following a loss to Longmont Christian in early March.
