Letter to the Editor,

I believe that Haxtun is a community built on love, so it troubles me that there's a Confederate flag in the window of a store on main street.

Change is happening all over the country and I think it should happen here, too. The kids who grow up here shouldn't have to see a symbol of hate every time they go down main street. And if we want visitors to Haxtun to know who we are and what we stand for, we should, as a community, unite in love and ask that the flag be taken down.

If the rest of our country can do it, so can we.
