Letter to the Editor,

In response to the Letter to the Editor in the Herald dated July 1, where the author states she believes Haxtun was built on love, therefore, the community response must rally behind her, in the name of love and “ask” that a confederate flag being displayed in a window be taken down, I for one do not in any way share her sentiments, and I will not be a conscript in her torches and pitchforks to force physical change on a neighbor. She calls the flag hate while her manifesto symbolic of love. Gee, if that’s not the Sagittarius calling the Aries starry eyed, haha.

I say play sing alongs that pick me up when I’m feeling blue. Now, how about you? Also try Hank Williams’ Mind Your Own Business (then you won’t be mindin’ mine).

The author also states, “change is happening all over the country and I think it should happen here too.” Does she mean insurrections and destruction of property? I think not.
