Haxtun Police Chief Tanya Mayhew reported the re-registration of sex offender James Leonard within Haxtun’s city limits last week. Leonard, age 33, is registered at an address in the 200 block of North Wallace Avenue.

According to Mayhew, Leonard must register as a sex offender annually following an October 2011 conviction in Phillips County Court for attempted sex assault on a child.
