NICOLE KLEVE, who served in the 115th Field Artillery Brigade with the Army National Guard, served as guest speaker at Haxtun High School's annual Veteran's Day assembly. Steve Firme, Phillips County's Veterans Service Officer, also spoke to high school students.

The Veteran's Day assembly opened with local legion members Matt Firme, Ron Carpenter, Jeff Firme and Dean Michael featuring the color guard as well as the high school band playing the National Anthem.

The event is hosted by National Honor Society students. Due to 2020 COVID restrictions, this year's assembly was held in the gym for high school students and streamed online for those in elementary and junior high.
