John Lambert

John A. Lambert passed away Feb. 4, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

John was born on Sept. 20, 1982 in Sidney, Neb. He was raised and attended schools in Haxtun. John established numerous bands throughout his life, most notably, 13 Nails, who toured and played with nationally recognized bands. His proudest moment as a musician was performing at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, Calif. 13 Nails has composed songs that have been featured in films.

He started his career at Recycled Cycles 12 years ago as a builder and worked his way up to General Manager. He was proud to contribute to the growth of the company. He was also very passionate about fundraising and supporting the music and arts program at EasterSeals in Loveland as well as building the local music community. He loved music of all kinds and horror movies and books - he had knowledge of all things horror. He was also a gifted painter and cherished the time he spent with his daughters, wife and family.

John married Kori Szczepanski on Nov. 13, 2015.

John is survived by his wife Kori Lambert, Fort Collins; daughters Emory Lesh, Jayden Lambert and Roxanne Lambert, all of Sterling, and Elvi Lambert, Fort Collins; step-mother Susan Neel, Fort Collins; mother-in-law and father-in-law Kim and Robert Smith, Brighton; father-in-law and mother-in-law Todd and Amber Szczepanski, Fargo, N.D .; sisters Tara and husband Bryson Fredregill, Sterling, and Julie Lambert, Haxtun; brothers Tim Neel Jr., Sterling, Zach Neel, Greeley, and William and wife Anjo Blagg, Sterling; step-brother Michael and wife Jackie Johnson, Washington, D.C .; aunt Christine and husband Greg Cox; cousin Jennifer and husband Adam Unruh, Kansas; sister-in-law Jami and husband Ryne Lund, Fargo; brothers-in-law Tanner Szczepanski, Fargo, Carson Charles, Denver, and Grady Szczepanski, Fargo. In addition, John leaves behind many extended family and friends. He was a soft-spoken man except when he was on stage performing. He left us all too soon and he will be greatly missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held on March 6 in Fort Collins. Due to COVID, number of attendees is limited. If you plan to attend, please reach out to family for more information.
