DANA CHINTALA, pictured above with daughters Megan Chintala and Whitney Chintala and wife Lisa Chintala, was recognized in a brief ceremony on Saturday during the Fleming versus Sedgwick County basketball games for his contributions as a basketball official. Official Kevin Fergus presented Chintala with the National High School Officials Association Outstanding Contributions plaque that evening. Chintala has served has served as a high school official for 26 years. During his presentation, Fergus noted that the Association honors one official per state each year and only three northeast Colorado officials have received the honor.
