The sale of Town-owned property was the topic of a special meeting held last Monday, March 8. The Haxtun Town Council entered into executive session for the first half hour of the meeting to discuss the sale of Town-owned property including shop, truck barn, lean-to and parking lot behind town hall and library to Haxtun Health.

The special meeting follows one from the week before in which the Council voted to sell the property outlined above for a sum of $200,000. However, follow-up with the Town’s attorney forced council members to rescind their original motion.
