Foundations and nonprofits to convene at Northeast

Through the Rural Philanthropy Days Program, community leaders and front range foundation staff to convene for a 2.5 day conference

More than 100 nonprofit professionals, statewide foundation staff, government leaders and community volunteers will be gathering to highlight the Northeast from June 9-11 to exchange knowledge and expand professional networks at Northeast Rural Philanthropy Days.

Rural Philanthropy Days is a statewide program that aims to promote excellence in Colorado’s rural communities by providing nonprofit leaders access to resources they need to make a stronger impact. For over 25 years, local communities have worked together to coordinate RPD in partnership with Community Resource Center and other statewide grantmakers. RPD continues to increase access to resources, relationships and skill-building opportunities for important community projects within the Northeast and across the state. Northeast Colorado nonprofit organizations, that provide a variety of integral services within the region, receive high quality professional development during the conference.

The RPD program provides a powerful opportunity for Colorado’s funders to meet with local and regional grantseekers. This results in stronger partnerships, increased access to resources, the development of long-term relationships and the opportunity to build professional skills. Meeting the needs of rural Colorado communities is what RPD is about.

“The challenges with the pandemic have allowed us to bring people together both virtually and in-person,” said Conference Co-Chair Candace Payne remarked. “We are excited to bring new and innovative ways to connect non-profits and funders to the 2021 Rural Philanthropy Days in Lincoln County.”

Participants will have the opportunity to explore all of what Lincoln County has to offer with an exclusive self-paced tour and build networking relationships with other non-profits in the region.

“Lincoln County is pleased and excited to be hosting the 2021 Northeast Rural Philanthropy Days between our home communities of Hugo and Limon, Colorado! We welcome our partnering 10 counties across the region to provide area nonprofits and local governments with first-rate programming and networking opportunities with Colorado-based funders. Make yourself at home and soak up all the great things that our region has to offer!” said Conference Co-Chair Troy McCue.

The conference will be hosted virtually on Wednesday, June 9, with an in-person kick off on Thursday, June 10 in Limon and Hugo. Space is limited and registration opens May 3 for the Northeast Rural Philanthropy Days conference. Visit northeastrpd.org for more information.
