Haxtun Health Sports Physical Days have been scheduled for June 14 and June 28 from 9 a.m. — noon at the Haxtun Health Clinic. Student athletes are encouraged to make an appointment as available slots are limited. The exams are $20 per student. Although many local student athletes are still competing this season, the 2021-22 sports season is just around the corner and student athletes will need another Colorado High School Activities Association sports physical release.

Although the sports physical meets the requirements set out by CHSAA to get our students onto the court or field each year, it only skims the surface of an individual’s health. Haxtun Health is here to help our students kickoff the school year with a healthy start. As an alternative to the basic sports physical, it is encouraged that students and their families schedule a Haxtun Health wellness exam. This type of appointment provides a more thorough examination and can ultimately keep student-athletes and their guardians more in tune with their overall health. The wellness exams encompass all aspects of an individual’s health, diving much deeper into the overall wellness. Wellness exams can be schedule throughout the year and are typically covered by insurance.

Any student that schedules a Haxtun Health wellness exam during June, July and August will be entered in to win an activities pass from their respective school for the 2021-22 season.
