New signs go up

JUST SEVERAL WEEKS shy of the one year anniversary of a severe June thunderstorm that caused mass destruction throughout town, new welcome signs went up on the east and west ends of Haxtun. The early June storm last year tore down numerous trees, ripped through small structures and damaged the old welcome signs.

With help from Points West Community Bank, the Town of Haxtun partnered with IWS in Sterling to construct and install new welcome signs on both ends of Highway 6. Pictured above are Town of Haxtun employees along with Points West Community Bank representatives (l-r), Chris Bornhoft, Ross Edwards, Trey Bivins, Carl Wilcox, Ron Carpenter, Jeremy Atchison and Wyatt Buccelli.
