HPD aids in Sedg. Co. Sheriff's Office arrest

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a male party identified as Jimmy Weaver, 34, North Platte, Neb. It was discovered that an arrangement for a meeting between Weaver and an adolescent female for the purpose of sexual exploitation had been made.

On April 13 Weaver arrived in Sedgwick County to meet with the adolescent female to engage in a sexual encounter. With the assistance of the Haxtun Police Department and the Sedgwick County Communication Center, Weaver was taken into custody without incident.

Weaver is being held without bond pending advisement for the following charges: enticement of a child, two counts of internet sexual exploitation of a child, internet luring of a child, attempted sexual assault on a child, attempted contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia. Weaver also had an active arrest warrant out of Sedgwick County for two counts of internet sexual exploitation of a child.
