Haxtun Bulldogs pick up a pair of wins against Eagles on Saturday

HAXTUN CATCHER Michael Gerk attempts to tag out Wray's Ashton Rogers at home plate in a double-header between the visiting Bulldogs and the home town Eagles. Haxtun won both games to improve to 9-5 overall.

With two wins in Wray last week the Haxtun Bulldog baseball teams improves to 9-5 overall and 6-3 in league play with the District Tournament just around the corner. According to MaxPreps standings on Tuesday morning, the Bulldogs are currently holding the second seed in 2A/1A Lower Platte League standings. Merino holds the top spot with a 16-2 record overall and a 12-2 standing in league play.
