Haxtun students pitch entrepreneurial ideas

HAXTUN HIGH SCHOOL business students took part in an Entrepreneur Fair on Wednesday, May 4 including those pictured above Cierra Dick, Nevaeh Dick and Ryan Davis. Davis was awarded $800 for his business, The Shirt Off My Back. Cierra and Nevaeh Dick received $600 for the their business the Crazy Farm.

Students submitted a business plan ahead of time and then offered sales pitches to judges at the Entrepreneur Fair in Holyoke last week. The Entrepreneur Fair was hosted by Ogallala Commons and Phillips County Economic Development. In addition to pitching their business ideas, students also listened to a keynote speaker, engaged with a panel of local businessmen and women and attended workshops.
