Haxtun tracksters take top honors at State despite weather delays

Three days of State Track turned into a whirlwind of action and emotions thanks to mother nature. Temperatures in the Denver area reached the high 80s on Thursday but Friday was much, much different as snow began to fall causing delays in the Colorado State Track Meet schedule.

Snow and cold weather completely cancelled Friday's action, pushing State Track into Saturday and Sunday, forcing many Haxtun seniors to decide between graduation and relays and other individual events in Lakewood at Jeffco Stadium.
