As a safety measure and aid to motorists, the oiled paving on Highway No. 6 has been painted with an orange stripe. Starting at Sterling and continuing to the Nebraska state line, the highway department is painting the stripe on all hills and curves of the highway. The painted stripe is the first to be made in this part of the state, although the painting has been done on other highways and in adjoining states for some time.
