The Haxtun Public Library recently received a Certificate of AspenCat Awesomeness. AspenCat is a union-catalog, integrated library system running on open source software managed by Colorado Library Consortium.

The Haxtun Public Library and new Librarian Carolyn Davis received the award for efforts in adding new patrons. Davis took over efforts at the local library in July and has since grown the patron data base as well as implemented new story time hours for youth. In addition to new events at the Library, Davis has also brought back favorites such as the summer reading program.

Hours at the Haxtun Public Library are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays. The Haxtun Public Library is located at 141 South Colorado Avenue. For more information, contact Davis at (970) 774-6106.
