Detective Jacob Arthur "Jake" Beu passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the age of 31 as he was serving the citizens of Rutherford County, Tennessee.

Jake was born in Elgin, Ill. on March 1, 1992. When he was three years old, the family moved to Colorado. As a young boy and big brother to Garrett and Josh, he played baseball, football and the trombone in band. Upon the family relocating to Tennessee in 2006, Jake attended Livingston Academy high school in Livingston, Tenn. He was active in his local church, football and worked on an alpaca farm.
