Oaths of office, a sewer rate increase and the approval of a third retail liquor license made up a good portion of regular business items in the final meeting of the Haxtun Town Council for 2024. Council members met on Monday, Dec. 2.
The December meeting opened with a public hearing for the 2025 budget and a liquor license application for Prairie Winds Liquors, LLC. While there was no public comment, there was discussion on both among council members.
