Bulldogs clinch District 5 title in Wray

The Haxtun Bulldogs clinched the District 5 basketball championship Saturday night. The win advances the team to the Region 2 Tournament at Englewood High School. Haxtun is set to face off against Longmont Christian in the first round slated for Friday afternoon.
On the road to Regionals, Haxtun faced off with Otis, Flagler/Hi-Plains and Stratton/Liberty, taking wins in all three matches. According to scores on MaxPreps, Haxtun put up a total of 208 points throughout the three contests, outscoring their opponents by a total of 64 points.
