Haxtun falls to 1-3 with Saturday's home loss to Merino Rams

HAXTUN sophomore Kyle Fryrear makes a 19-yard catch near the north end zone at Adam Wernsman Field Saturday afternoon. In addition to his 19 yards in the air, Fryrear tallied 11 total tackles on defense for the Bulldogs.

The Haxtun Bulldogs fell to 1-2 in the Plains League following a loss to the Merino Rams at home on Saturday afternoon. Dropping to the Rams leaves the Bulldogs at 1-3 overall with two games left on the already short schedule, both conference contests in the 8-man league.

Merino entered Saturday's match up with Haxtun as one of two teams with an undefeated record in the Plains League four weeks into the season.
