High school club hosts blood drive

A THURSDAY afternoon blood drive at Haxtun High School brought in 53 units of blood. The event, hosted by the Future Business Leaders of American, also included three power red donations, which counts as double units. Above, community member Judy Berkheimer gives one of the Power Red donations at the Jan. 28 event.
The local FLBA chapter hosts blood drives regularly in conjunction with the American Red Cross.
