James Rifenbark

James Daniel Rifenbark passed away after complications from a double heart valve surgery on Dec. 11, 2020 at the age of 53.

He was born April 1, 1967 in Phoenix, Ariz. to Sharon Campbell and Gerald Rifenbark. He was a 1986 graduate of Haxtun High School. In 2006 his son Carter was born. He loved his boy with all his heart. He worked at Industrial Welding as a welder for close to 20 years. Recently he decided it was time for a change and started flipping houses with his girlfriend Jesse.

During his time off, he enjoyed playing golf, gardening, woodworking and sports, including hunting. He was a huge Denver Broncos fan. Photography was one of his loves in life as well. Chasing tornados and catching photos of some amazing lightning was a true hobby of his. Jimbo truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, hanging out with friends and family, BBQs and traveling. His smile and laugh will never be forgotten. He had a personality that could light up a room.

Jimbo is survived by his son Carter Johnson, Minnesota; mother Sharon Campbell, Haxtun; father Gerald Rifenbark, Michigan; sister Kim Campbell, Sterling; girlfriend Jesse Larson, Haxtun; half-sisters Sarah Valbak, Virginia, and Angela Brown, Michigan; half-brother Jerry Rifenbark, Chicago; nieces Dianna Fecht, Sterling, Olivia, Virginia, and Marley, Chicago; nephews Chandler, Virginia, and Maddux, Chicago; and great-nieces Alexis and Aubree Haney, both of Sterling. Jimbo had many friends and family that will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his step-mother Joan Rifenbark; uncle Steven Campbell; aunt Lisa Campbell; and grandparents Jack and Lola Campbell.
