COLORADO STATE Senator Jerry Sonnenberg stands with Roger Koberstein at Haxtun Super's Saturday during a local Meat-In event. The Haxtun event is just one of many held in eastern Colorado and around the State in support of agriculture following the Governor's declaration of March 20 as a statewide meat-free holiday.

Sonnenberg toured this region of Colorado, attending close to 10 events held Saturday. Haxtun's lunch-time BBQ featured hamburgers from Koberstein Farms, with contributions from Haxtun Super's, and served nearly 350 attendees.
