Jesus of Nazarath

Jesus the son of Mary and Joseph passed away at the age of 33 ½, surrounded by friends and family.

Jesus was a well-known teacher throughout his life. Traveling approximately 19,000 miles by foot around Galilee and Judea, with activities also taking place in surrounding areas such as Perea and Samaria. His first teachings were in Jerusalem at the age of 12.

He continued his education until the age of 30 when he began his public ministry. During the three and half years of public ministry he met many people; some of which adored him, while others rejected his words. Jesus had 12 faithful followers during this time, but the one, Judas, betrayed Jesus just before his death.

Jesus did many healings of the sick and the blind. He was a great teacher and taught that everyone “should love your neighbor as yourself” and “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you could move mountains.”

Celebration of life will be held at the United Methodist Church in Haxtun on Sunday morning, April 4 at 9:30 a.m.
