AFTER 37 YEARS in education at Haxtun Schools, Superintendent Darcy Garretson plans to retire at the end of June. Garretson started her career in Haxtun in 1984 as the High School English Teacher. While her contract expires on June 30, Garretson plans to remain at the school, part-time, until October to help facilitate the transition to a new superintendent.
