My letter addresses several different angles about Memorial Day. I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a service for the day this year. But this statement comes with some reservations. Our local Veterans have provided us with this service for years and many of them have done it for decades. If you have attended this event over the years it has fallen on a few to provide this for the community and many of them are not able to continue this tradition for their own health reasons.
