Fleming tracksters place at Wiggins

The Fleming Wildcat track team competed at Wiggins last Saturday. Just one meet remains in the regular season before the State Track Meet slated for June 24-26 at JeffCo Stadium in Lakewood.
According to Head Coach Lisa Chintala, the boys’ four-by-800-meter relay team of David Betley, Matix Haney, Christian Polly and Nolan Japp was qualified for State as of Monday, June 14. Other Wildcat team members have one final opportunity to qualify this week at the HWAY Invitational at Akron.
Top-10 placers from last week at Wiggins are as follows:
Girls
800-meter run: Madi Serrato, fourth place, 2:50.02.
1,600-meter run: Serrato, first, 6:20.85.
Boys
Four-by-800-meter relay: Team of Betley, Haney, Polly and Japp, sixth, 12:30.40.
Long jump: Japp, seventh, 18 feet, 1.5 inches.
Triple jump: Japp, sixth, 36 feet, 10 inches.
