Haxtun Bulldog track team competes at Wiggins last Saturday

ALLIE THOMPSON, a soon to be Haxtun senior, runs her leg of a relay at a competition two weeks ago. In Wiggins this week, Thompson placed fifth in the girls' 800-meter run and second in the long jump.

As the season winds down, Haxtun Bulldog tracksters are running faster, throwing harder and jumping longer, looking for that perfect number that will give them a shot at the State Meet. The team has just two meets left to qualify for State, slated for the last full week of June.

This last week, the team traveled to Wiggins for an Invitational on June 12. Top 10 results from that meet are as follows:

Girls

100-meter dash: Taylor Schram, fourth, 13.88.

800-meter run: Allie Thompson, fifth, 2:50.09.

300-meter hurdles: Schram, second, 52.75.
