Haxtun Bulldog track team competes at Wiggins last Saturday

As the season winds down, Haxtun Bulldog tracksters are running faster, throwing harder and jumping longer, looking for that perfect number that will give them a shot at the State Meet. The team has just two meets left to qualify for State, slated for the last full week of June.

This last week, the team traveled to Wiggins for an Invitational on June 12. Top 10 results from that meet are as follows:

Girls

100-meter dash: Taylor Schram, fourth, 13.88.

800-meter run: Allie Thompson, fifth, 2:50.09.

300-meter hurdles: Schram, second, 52.75.

Four-by-100-meter relay team: seventh place,1:00.18.

Four-by-200-meter relay team: third, 1:59.96.

Long jump: Thompson, second, 15 feet, 2.5 inches.

Discus: Cassidy Goddard, fifth, 100 feet, five inches.

Shot put: Goddard, ninth, 27 feet, 7.75 inches.

Boys

100-meter dash: Kyle Fryrear, seventh, 11.95; Owen Knode, ninth, 12.07.

Four-by-100-meter relay team: third, 47.38.

Four-by-200-meter relay team: sixth, 1:51.45.

Four-by-400-meter relay team: fourth, 4:12.44.

Four-by-800-meter relay team: fourth, 10:29.48.

Triple jump: Isaac Andersen, third, 39 feet, three inches; Michael Gerk, eighth, 35 feet, 10.5 inches.

Discus: Ryan Tempel, seventh, 116 feet, eight inches; Maclin Tempel, eighth, 106 feet, one inch.

Shot put: Osman Coss, sixth, 36 feet, 11 inches; Ryan Tempel, ninth, 35 feet, 11 inches.
