Annabell Sharpe

Annabell Ruth (Crossland) Sharpe passed away June 23, 2021 at the age of 90 at her home in Commerce City with her family by her side.

She was born Nov. 24, 1930 to Edgar and Elizabeth Ann (Guernsey) Crossland.

Annabell attended South Star School in Yuma and graduated from Haxtun High School, Class of 1948, Salutatorian. On Aug. 18, 1949 she married Ronald Arthur Sharpe. They lived and worked on the Sharpe homestead, south of Haxtun until 1954.

From 1954 to 1961 Ron and Annabell lived in Washington state. Ron worked at the Youth Diagnostic Correctional Center in Port Townsend and Annabell worked as a bookkeeper. In 1961 they returned to Colorado and purchased a farm near Delta. Annabell was the bookkeeper for Delta Sand & Gravel for 20 years. The farm became a dairy and they operated it until 1982.

In 1982, they moved to Fort Collins. Annabell worked as the bookkeeper for Lydia Dody until 2008. After retiring from Lydia's, Annabell traveled, enjoyed attending the Rocky Mountain Packard Club Christmas parties and spending time with her family.

Annabell is survived by her children Keith Sharpe, Ken and wife Becky Sharpe, Tom and wife Connie Sharpe, Susan Horn, Gary and wife Jennie Sharpe, and Greg and wife Diana Sharpe; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.

She was loved by all who knew her. And all who knew her were blessed. Her legacy of family, love and faith will endure through many generations to come.
