Floats take parade honors

The 100th annual Corn Festival parade kicked off with a bang! Mother nature cooperated for a beautiful, sunny morning in downtown Haxtun as the Haxtun American Legion Color Guard marched down main street for the singing of the National Anthem by Kristin Hadeen, Jula Bornhoft and Jeri Anderson.

Results from the parade are as follows:

Business: Golden Harvest/Gueck Seed, first, Haxtun Building Center, second, Red J Welding/Five Star Rentals, third.

Youth: Class of 2024, first, Class of 2023, second, Class of 2022, third.

Sweepstakes: Class of 2025.
