The Thirteenth Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated three candidates for a district court judgeship created by the retirement of the Honorable Michael K. Singer. The vacancy will occur on Jan. 1, 2022. Nominees David Bute, Brush, Graham Craig Fidler, Burlington, and Justin Haenlein, Peyton, were selected by the commission on Nov. 16.

Under the Colorado Constitution, the Governor has 15 days from Nov. 17, within which to appoint one of the nominees as district court judge for the Thirteenth Judicial District (Kit Carson, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties).
