Lady Bulldogs kick off basketball season on the road in Fleming

The Haxtun Lady Bulldogs kicked off the 2021-22 basketball season with match ups against two of the four top-ranked teams in Colorado 1A preseason rankings. Preseason rankings put the Lady Bulldogs in the seventh seed.

Haxtun kicked off the basketball season with an away contest in Fleming against the third ranked Lady Wildcats. Both teams matched up well in the first quarter, Fleming outlasting the Lady Bulldogs by just one, 11-12. The second was much the same, Haxtun adding 13 points to the board while Fleming added 16 to hold onto an advantage...
