Fleming beats Peetz; falls to Sedg. Co. by 1

WILDCAT JUNIOR Harry Harms goes up for a rebound against Peetz in Fleming's home closer last week.

The Fleming Wildcats closed out the regular portion of their season last week with a home win over Peetz and a one-point, road loss at the home of the 2A Sedgwick County Cougars.

The Wildcats opened the Tuesday, Feb. 15 contest against Peetz on top by eight, 12-4. The home team maintained the lead throughout the game while holding the visiting Bulldogs to single digits for each of the opening three quarters. Fleming held an 18-point lead heading into the final minutes of play, 39-21.

Peetz outscored Fleming by two in the fourth, 16-14, but fell overall, 53-37.
