Haxtun Bulldogs improve to 4-2 overall in baseball action last week

HAXTUN BULLDOG Kyle Fryrear, #7, dives back to first base in a pick-off attempt by Akron in the Bulldog's season opener two weeks ago. This week, Haxtun took two wins on the road against Sedgwick County and on Saturday hosted Wiggins. The Bulldogs went 1-1 in double-header action with the Tigers.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-2 on the baseball diamond last week with double-header wins over Sedgwick County and a 1-1 split with Wiggins.

According to MaxPreps, the week's events leaves the Bulldogs as one of the top three teams in the 2A/1A Lower Platte League. Merino, currently 5-1, holds the top spot just ahead of the second ranked Bulldogs. Wiggins falls in the third place slot with a 3-3 overall record.
