Edwin Joseph Schaefer passed away in Poway, Calif. on March 18, 2022 at the age of 83.

Ed was born on Nov. 20, 1938 in Sterling to Ben and Martha (Brekel) Schaefer.

He graduated from Fleming High School in 1955. Ed received his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and his Master Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He then joined the Air Force Reserves.

Ed married Jolynn "Jodie" Graham on April 28, 1962 in Albuquerque, N.M. Ed and Jodie lived in Poway until his death.
