Bulldogs take on Briggsdale and Yuma in baseball action last week

HAXTUN senior David Avery gets underneath a tag attempt from Briggsdale's catcher to safely slide home and add a run to the board in a Friday afternoon match up with the Falcons. The Bulldogs took the game 18-3.

Wind has ripped across the plains of Colorado wreaking havoc all over, including scheduling for high school athletics and Haxtun baseball is no exception. For most of last week, winds canceled bus routes, changed athletics' schedules and forced spring sports teams to practice inside. However, a break in the weather allowed for a sunny Friday afternoon contest with the Haxtun Bulldogs and the Briggsdale Falcons. The Bulldogs hosted the Falcons for the one varsity, one junior varsity match up.
