Janice Mae Freemyer deCordoba passed away on March 6, 2022 in Cheyenne, Wyo. after a brief illness with her daughter, Toni, by her side at the age of 87.

Janice, or Jan as she was called by her friends, was born on May 12, 1934 and attended Haxtun High School. Jan retired to Sterling where she lived for many years. Jan loved to read, quilt and paint, and was a huge fan of Bob Ross.

Jan is survived by her daughter Toni; grandsons Nick and wife Hallie and Erik and wife Katie; great-grandchildren Michelle, Eva and Silas; sister-in-law Loretta; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded by her parents James Frank Sr. and Laura; stepmother Marie; siblings James Frank Jr., Gerald and Nina; sister-in-law Phyllis; and nephew Tim.

There are no events planned as Jan expressed her desire not to have any services. She was cremated, per her wishes, and her ashes will be scattered in her beloved mountains.
