HAXTUN FRESHMAN Grant Statz turns the corner in the 400-meter dash at the Haxtun Relays last Tuesday. Statz finished in 13th place with a time of 1:02.36.

For the first time in over two decades, Haxtun High School hosted the longstanding tradition of the Haxtun Relays. While the event looked different with an alternative venue, the Haxtun Relays featured all the favorite relay competitions including the newly featured Keith Lick Memorial four-by-400 meter relay to honor the former high school track coach.

HHS hosted the Haxtun Relays on Tuesday, April 26 in Holyoke to meet the standards of a State qualifying meet. The event also featured field events including pole vault, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus and triple jump.
