Aug. 18, 1937

Dewey Green, prominent farmer north of Haxtun, will head the Fred C. Lewman Post of ex-servicemen at Haxtun during the coming year. Others elected to office: Lee Bamford, Ralph Gale, R.V. Exstrom, Harry O'Hare, J.A. Work and Mike Gretch. Membership dues for the coming year will $4.00, the same as during the past year.

Following a lingering illness of several months' duration, death came to Mrs. Darley Atkinson on Aug. 12 at the family home 26 miles south of Haxtun in Yuma County. She was born on March 26, 1877, in Sweden and came to America when she was 17 ye...
