August 31, 2022

Haxtun Health's Physical Therapy is changing as Director Wendy Evans transitions out of her role and relocates back to the Denver area. The Physical Therapy team remains strong with existing staff and Haxtun Health has solidified additional PT staff to help fill in the gaps in scheduling. At the same time, a search is underway for a new director.

"Even though our Physical Therapy department is changing, we continue to provide a great team of rehabilitation specialists that work with our patients, residents and community to ensure they receive the best care possible," stated Julia Biesemeier with Haxtun Health. "Wendy and her team have built a phenomenal PT program over the last few years. The entire team has been a tremendous asset to our community. Aaron Briggs and Dora Trejo, along with the additional staff, continue to provide great PT services. Whether they are guests coming to visit our Physical Therapy Department, rehabbing in our Swing Bed program or are a resident in our care, the community can still rely on us for great PT Services."

The search for a new director for the department is currently underway. Haxtun Health is committed to ensuring the PT team remains strong for the community during this transition.

When calling to make an appointment, advanced scheduling is the best way to ensure the team can meet the community's needs in a timely manner.

"Haxtun Health is sad to lose Wendy Evans as our Rehab Services Director. She has been a pleasure to work with and a tremendous asset to the Haxtun Health team. We wish her the best in her future adventures moving forward," stated Biesemeier.
