J. Jeffryes draws nearly 100

Nearly 100 participants registered for the J. Jeffryes 5K and one mile fun run on Saturday morning. The event kicked off the 101st annual Haxtun Corn Festival. Entry fees from the run/walk are used for scholarships for local high school seniors. Results from the 5K and mile run are as follows:

5K

Ages five to 12: Cail Wilson, 24.30; Leah Edwards, 28:45.

Ages 13-18: Colin Cone, 19:24.

Ages 19-34: Braden Anderson, 17.37; Megan Gerk, 24.50.

Ages 35-49: Braden Ham, 21.35; Cindy Clark, 25.12.

50+: Jared Anderson, 24.29; Sandy Fetzer, 22.17.
