Just one highly-anticipated game remains on the regular season agenda for the 7-1 Wildcats of Fleming. The Wildcats took down Briggsdale last week on the road and are scheduled to return to their home field to take on the top-ranked Stratton Eagles in this Friday’s regular season closer.

Fleming held on to their undefeated league record last week with a 71-33 victory over the Briggsdale Falcons. Scores by quarter were not reported.

Senior Nolan Japp ran for 221 rushing yards on Friday at Briggsdale. He now averages just over 100 rushing yards per game.

Seniors Kolten Houser and Harry Harms led in receiving yards with 64 apiece. Houser caught one pass; Harms caught four.

Senior quarterback Braylen Feather completed 12 of 19 passes for 236 total yards. He threw three touchdown passes in the game.

Senior Blake Feather followed the leaders in both rushing and receiving yards. He added 58 rushing yards and 43 in the air off two receptions.

Junior Wyatt Cochran caught one pass for 29 yards and Japp added 24 receiving yards off three catches.

Blake Feather led the Wildcat defense with 15 tackles. He brought down 10 solo and five assisted. Junior Matix Haney also hit double digits in the tackle column. He brought down six solo and six assisted.

Japp led the group in scoring with 24 points. He earned all of those off rushing TDs.

Blake Feather followed with 16 points. He ran one in for a TD and went five for nine in points after field goals for the remaining 10.

Senior Kolten Houser put 12 points on the scoreboard off two touchdowns. He found the end zone once on the ground and caught one 64-yard pass that gave him another six points.

Harms, Cochran and freshman Mason Mollohan each scored one TD. Sophomore Travis Johnson added a point off one conversion.

Kickoff on Friday night against Stratton is scheduled for 7 p.m. Annual parents’ night festivities are set to take place prior to the game.
