Mr. and Mrs. Clair Skold entertained Thanksgiving Day with a turkey dinner. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Orton Wood, Mrs. Mary E. Wood and Mr. Skold's brothers, Bernard Skold of Denver and Lawrence Skold of Fort Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Acott, Fleming, and their two daughters, Dona Lee, and Mary Elizabeth Acott, and Miss Evelyn Wood and Jimmie Wood.

A wedding of much interest to Haxtun people is that of Miss Barsha Hire and Mr. Clyde Drew, which took place in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday, Nov. 25. The young couple were married by the Methodist minister in San Jose at 8 a.m. and they left immediately for the CCC Camp with which Mr. Drew was formerly connected. There a military ceremony was performed at 6 p.m. Mrs. Drew was one of Haxtun's most popular and attractive young women, and The Harvest joins with her many friends in wishing her and Mr. Drew much happiness in their new home.

Dec. 3, 1952

Billy D. Plank, aviation, machinist's mate airman, USN, son, of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Plank of Fleming, is now serving in the US Naval Air Missile Test Center at point Magu, Calif.

Students on the Haxtun High School's first honor roll: seniors, Shirley Buck and Bob Stansbury; juniors, Norris Harms, Madeline Rogers and Clydell Sullivan; sophomores Carole Carper and Betsy Knode; freshmen, Janice Baker, John Buck, Elaine Evans and Elvida Knode.

Dec. 1, 1977

The shooting death of a 35-year-old Fleming woman Wednesday has been labeled accidental by the Logan County Sheriffs Office. Mrs. RoaAnn Rogers was apparently killed in her home southeast of Fleming when a rifle being cleaned by her husband, Ted O. Rogers, accidentally discharged and struck her behind the right ear while she was working in the kitchen.

Steve Unrein and Valerie Mitchell, seniors at Fleming High School, were selected as Teenagers of the Month by the Sterling Lions Club.

Dec. 2, 1992

Transacting bank business during First National Bank of Fleming's 75th celebration is Alice Cheramy, assisted by teller Cindy Miles. Other employees are Diana Unrein, Joyce Roberts, Gail Schmidt and Paul Wernsman. Board of directors includes Julius Wernsman, Thomas Wernsman, Jim Heaberlin, Steve Wernsman and Paul Wernsman.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Fuesz of Haxtun celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 28, 1992, with a reception and program hosted by their family: William and Linda Fuesz, Christopher and Paige of Haxtun; Carol and Brad Chapman, Erica and Lara of Omaha, Neb., Mary Beth and Terry Hovel, Erin, Beth and Travis of Haxtun; and Gary and Vicki Fuesz, Cindy and Cory of Haxtun.

Haxtun Bulldog 2012-13 basketball players include: Weston Salyards, Kyle Pierce, Gabe Marner, Brandon Hinde, Izaak Brown, Dalton Salyards, Elliott Krogmeier, Taylor Wilson, Rece Coffin, Kaleb Anderson, Lane Anderson, Seth Thompson, Bryce Bivins, Taylor Ness, Jake Gerk, Greg Chapdelaine, Wyatt Workman and Tristan Brown. The Bulldogs are coached by Dennis Tjaden and Grant Edwards.

Lady Bulldog 2012-13 basketball players include: Lauren Wilkening, Brianna Taylor, Courtny Dickerson, Hannah Knapp, MegAnn Hadeen, Kyla Steinman, Bailee Jones, Bailey White, Rebekah Kurtzer, Taylor Andersen, Brenna Shafer, Alexandra Helfer, Elizabeth Hadeen, Jennifer Wisdom, Amberlee Allen, Nicole Wilkening, Madison Anderson, Sarah Hiller, Megan Gerk, Elise Atkins, Taylor Dishman and Latifa Steinman. The Lady Bulldogs are coached by Dave Shafer and Michele Bivins.

Six Haxtun Bulldogs received post-season honors following the 2012 football season. Seniors Ryan Nelson and Kyle Pierce along with junior Tyler Horalek received All-Conference. Sophomores Brandon Hinde and Dillon Workman as well as senior Garrett Shafer were voted as All-Conference, Honorable Mention.
