The Fleming Wildcats closed the regular season with a winning weekend. The Wildcats defeated 2A's Sedgwick County Cougars in a home closer and beat Idalia on the road to finish out the season.
The Wildcats are now set to enter District 4 play as the second ranked team behind the top-seeded Briggsdale Falcons despite having defeated them in late-January.
Sedgwick County led by three after the first quarter of play on Thursday in Fleming, 16-13. The Wildcats battled back holding the Cougars to six while adding 15 to go up 28-22 at halftime.
