While in Montana I learned that Sheriff Elliott had passed. From the Saturday door campaign to a deputy’s funeral to several meetings in his office, I got to admire his humility and wit. Thom Elliott was a warm, kind listener. He could be tough with a knack for tongue-in-cheek expression, yet matter of fact intent of which to had better heed!
