Camp theme to honor Bryan Kroeger
Whether rodeo is your way of life or you are just interested in trying a rodeo event, Rodeo Bible Camp is a great opportunity for area youth. Platte Valley RBC is excited to host our 17th annual camp on June 7-10 at Phillips County Fairgrounds in Holyoke.
This year’s theme is L. I. F. E. (Live Initially for Eternity) in honor of past staff member, Bryan Kroeger. Kroeger served as a spiritual team leader during 2008, 2009 and then remained as a spiritual advisor to the board and the camp director. This year’s camp verse is one that Bryan lived by: Acts 20:24, ”However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”
Platte Valley RBC, is excited to offer a camp to the youth, ages eight to 18, in the Tri-State area and its surrounding communities. Campers participate in event instructional clinics throughout the day, along with devotion and chapel times. Camp is not just about rodeo, but it is the goal of Platte Valley RBC Board and staff to build character and faith through quality instructions while teaching the youth about God’s Love.
This year, the events offered are Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Horsemanship, Trail Course, Wrangler, Breakaway Roping, Calf Roping, Team Roping, Chute Doggin, Steer Riding, and Bull Riding. Entries in all events are limited; so hurry and get registered.
